• Processing and managing shipments and deliveries.

• Verifying sender/receiver details and ensuring legal compliance.

• Generating and maintaining invoices, payments, and COD remittances.

• Communicating updates regarding pickup, delivery, billing, or disputes.

• Resolving complaints, claims, or disputes related to consignments.

• Fulfilling legal, taxation, or regulatory requirements under Indian law.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

SPIL may share your data only under the following circumstances:

• Operational Sharing: With trusted carriers, transport partners, or third-party logistics providers for service fulfilment.

• Legal and Regulatory Authorities: If required by law, government orders, or to prevent illegal activities such as contraband shipment or fraud.

• Payment and Accounting Partners: For billing, invoicing, or remittance processes, as per financial compliance.

• Internal Teams: For verification, claims, or dispute resolution.

SPIL does not sell or rent customer information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes secure data storage, limited employee access, and encrypted communication where applicable.

However, SPIL shall not be liable for data loss or disclosure arising from external cyber threats, natural calamities, or events beyond reasonable control.

5. Retention of Information

SPIL retains shipment and billing records only as long as required for business, legal, or compliance purposes. Once the retention period expires, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

6. User Rights

You have the right to:

• Report discrepancies in invoices or billing within 24 hours of invoice generation.

• Raise shipment-related appeals such as weight disputes (limited to one per shipment).

• Withdraw consent for marketing or non-essential communication at any time.

7. Compliance and Documentation

The consignor must ensure that all necessary documents (invoice, e-way bill, declaration, etc.) are provided before shipment. SPIL reserves the right to inspect, verify, or withhold shipments that do not meet documentation or safety compliance requirements.

Any delay arising from incomplete or incorrect documentation will be the sole responsibility of the consignor.

8. Limitation of Liability

SPIL is not liable for shipment loss, delay, or data disclosure caused by:

• Natural calamities, union strikes, or carrier failures.

• Incorrect or incomplete documents provided by the consignor.

• Shipments containing prohibited or contraband goods.

• Non-adherence to Terms & Conditions (such as Owner’s Risk consignments).

9. Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction

Any disputes, claims, or concerns arising from the use of SPIL’s services or this Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
The exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes shall be the courts located in Delhi.

10. Updates to this Policy

SPIL reserves the right to modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any such changes will be reflected on our official website with an updated “Last Revised” date.
